Are You Prepared for the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord?

By November 18, 2024No Comments

We walk through life in search of happiness, to seek solace in the presence of adversity. And so, we distract ourselves with fleeting moments of joy and pleasure. We stock up on riches and attempt to build a better life by chasing power and wealth. Consequently, we trap ourselves in an infinite loop of wants that leave us unsatiated and unfulfilled. Our purpose defines who we are. If we dedicate our lives to something. That will ultimately be reduce to rubble and dust. We will always find a reason to remain unhappy.

However, do not be dismaye, for God has made a promise to all of us.

Eyes on the Destination

“16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

-John 3:16

When humanity was doom and bound to perish, God sent His only Son to give them hope of a life beyond what’s temporary. He gave humanity the greatest gift of all: the opportunity to embrace heaven. That being said, the real question is, are we prepared for the coming of Christ?

Revelations

“His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

-Matthew 3:12

The burden of sin was paid for by Christ’s divine blood when He was hung up on the cross. He rose from the dead, proclaiming life’s victory over death. Thus, the clock ticks away to the Day of Judgement when He will come again to separate the good from the wicked and unbelieving, who will be left for the fire to consume.

That fire marks the great and terrible day of the Lord.

The Book of Revelations depicts this day in explicit detail and the omens that precede the eventful times.

“I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red,”

-Revelations 6:12

Author Diana Ketterman, a believer, was awakened to an unusual experience on February 14th, 2023, at 2:30 am in Tiberias, Israel, when she saw the unscheduled crescent moon rise, shining blood red over the sea of Galilee, bringing three warnings. The blood moon symbolizes darkness, death, and the destruction that is to follow.

With her book Truth is Not of This World: Take Heed, Be Not Deceived, Diana blows the whistle, reminding believers that the hour is indeed near. Her book encapsulates well-researched spiritual revelations and biblical teachings, enlightening readers and equipping them with all the weapons necessary for spiritual warfare against the evil one.

The time is nigh; the only question remains, “Are you prepared for the great and terrible day of the Lord?”
